Is there actually a best weightlifting training program and what does it mean?
The best weightlifting training program can mean actually two different things if we talk about Olympic weightlifting:
- The best weightlifting training program for Olympic weightlifting
- The best weightlifting training program to become an (Olympic) weightlifting coach
Ad 1. The best weightlifting training program for lifters
The best weightlifting training program for Olympic weightlifting that suits everyone best does not exist. It is like searching for the holy Grail. The best weightlifting training program depends on your knowledge and experience to create one for a specific lifter.
A training program should take into account many things like calendar age, biological age, training experience, development stage, gender, social circumstances and the lifter`s strong – and weak points. This way you can create the best weightlifting training program for your lifter.
But for your convenience our course books come with many complete training programs for a complete macro cycle for various age and experience groups also for male and female lifters.
Ad 2. The best weightlifting training program for coaches
